In my Opinion, The Subwoofer is the single most Impactful part of a HT system, no pun intended...

Got my SPL meter today. Been playing around with it. Don't have a calibration disc yet, but matching the A and C weightings to the same dB levels does make the music sound a lot better. The interesting thing is, what seemed loud to me at my sitting position was actually only ~80dB That's with the receiver set at half of max volume level.
