got a couple of questions and need some advice

So I'm on a really tight budget for a HT subwoofer (About $150...I"m not expecting to get GREAT bass and nothing that will go into the 20hz range for that price) Anyways, I saw a used Energy EPS-150 for $150. It has a 12" driver and supposedly, it has a 125w RMS amp. Does anybody know if this is a good sub for the price?

Also, my neighbor is selling a B&W CC6 S2 center channel speaker to me. It looks like a good quality center with real kevlar cones with a nice and firm rubber surrounds. He's selling it to me for $100 with non-powered Polk RMII series 10" woofer. I've never heard of B&W before so just wondering if it's a good deal or not.

Wow, 8" driver to produce 28hz is DEEP. The only problem is that my living room is 22x18 and with a ceiling that is very very high and oddly shaped. would this be enough to "feel" the action in the movies? that was why I was looking for 12" subs. Circuit City is selling a MTX 12" sub for about $150 also, anybody know anything about these two subs?

Inexpensive subs

That's a pretty large room.
The choices in your price range are boomy, bloated bass from the 12" circuity city subs or tight, controlled base down to 30 Hz like the 8" Onix and HSU models.

AV123.com also has a great deal on their 10" UFW-10 sub for $400, but it is way out of your budget.
Expect to pay $500 or more for a good 12" sub from SVS or HSU.
