Funny Craigslist Post's....

Some of my favorite are in the "wanted" section. I always see terrible options, like

"I need a computer that can play recent games, and it has to be fast, and have at least 4gigs of ram, and needs to have at least 500gigs of memory, and I only have $100."

I saw another one many years ago about a guy who wanted to have obnoxiously loud sex to irritate his upstairs tenant who he could hear walking around all night and who apparently "peed really loud".

Or, "need a good running car, I will trade you an Xbox360 and like 4 games from 5 years ago"

I kind of thought this was pretty ridiculous:

30 watts per channel and prehistoric for $150 ... try $15 ... :D
It's not funny.

Neither of those two had the wooden shell, so that could add another $20 to the value, or more depending on the collector.

I recently sold a Sansui Model 7070 rated 60 watts per channel for almost $300 on eBay, I promise it's no laughing matter.

What was funny was about a week ago some kid listed his used Red Xbox 360 on Craigslist with 6 games, 3 controllers, and a wireless guitar for $1200.

I would have asked $1,500 and said all the games came in the original boxes from the vintage year 2007, and say that the red case was actually recycled plastic used on the very first space shuttle seat adjustment levers.

Sounds like a nice guy
I can understand wanting to let someone know you have an odd obsession with maintaining a record of your bowel movements (not that I understand why you'd feel the need to record that unless it was necessary for medical reasons). What I am confused about is why they would need for you, the roommate, to keep track of your bowel movements. Also, are bowel movements outside the home included?

Maybe he does not want to have to pay more then his fair share for toilet paper. Although if he, assuming the person who placed the ad is a male, gets a female roommate that would throw the whole toilet paper ratio out the window.

It is good that he is up front about stuff like this, but putting in the ad is probably not exactly the best way to attract people to your place. Not to mention it really isn't any of his business.

I just saw this on my local CL. The title is "Denon Receiver Trade".

"I have a 6.1 channel Denon receiver that puts out 75 watts per channel. I am looking to trade for a more powerful receiver per channel that puts out 90 or more watts per channel. The receiver I have works and looks perfect. I have original paper work and remote."

Why is that funny? Maybe he's ok with having a rough around the edge, older, missing remote, so long as it has more power. We can't assume he'll just think a Sony 100 watt per channel receiver would beat his AVR out.

I think that this listing is only funny from a very limited point of view.

Leave it to me to take the fun out of things.:D

we have craigslist but kijiji is what most people use here in Edmonton. i see lots of daily white van speaker ads. this one made me lol

"I have up for sale a Brendel BR-16 Home Theatre System, all brand new in the box, it's only been removed out of the box once to try them out recently. I thought I would use them, but I actually ended up never using them because of the amount of sound they can create! Selling for $300 OBO.

I bought these cheap from a friend who claims to have never used them either, Now I'm selling them for even cheaper."

and these tower speakers are 750 watts each

Lol. It just seemed to me like he wants to just trade for something better. I know its not that funny, but I thought I'd share it because it pertains to our hobby/addiction :D
