So am I, so are most by ADTG's standards :D

I got it was a joke, and my response was one as well ;)

Still, generally speaking, it's better to err on the side of caution (or at least subtlety) when poking fun of someone in the area of money or income. That was a bit direct and could easily be taken the wrong way (as Irv kinda did).

Just my .02 cents FWIW :)

LOL, those are going to be such overkill in your room.
You know what's the favorite word in audio?

Headroom. :D

Besides, you never know what the future brings in terms of the next house. :D

I think that's the whole idea. :)

When I went for 18" sealed subs I ordered one at a time, to see if just one would meet the need. By sheer luck it did. Of course, I went the Velodyne route, and ordering another is a heck of a lot easier than with FA (because there are only two flavors, as opposed to nearly infinite, and there's inventory).

Knowing what I know now, and with the new driver and amp FA offers (and the recent price increase in the DD18+) I would probably choose the 18.3 over the DD18+. As much as I like the remote I could get up off my butt to change the sub level. I'm not sure I'd hear a performance difference, but that 18.3 is intriguing with the new driver.

Everytime I see those subs cabinets they look stunning. For some reason the look of the drivers reminds me of the SDX-15's, must be the dust cap or something!

Oh I hear ya, I'm going to have a single LMS-18 in a room smaller than yours. If you use even 50% of their capabilities I would be surprised.

I've got 2 DIY dual oppose boxes with 2 AV15H drivers in each box plus a PB13 in sealed tune in a room that's under 1900 cubic feet. Headroom is fun.

I just realize the TSAD18v2 is the Rohacell carbon fiber material, which I guess is similar to the Rohacell woofers used in my B&W 802D2 woofers.

Maybe, just maybe one of these days, like in the far future when I get a new house, I might get dual TSAD18v2 in piano gloss black to match my 802D2.

FYI, unfortunately that option with the Rohacell cone is not currently available, but may be again at some point.

I must say though the standard TSAD18, 18.0 looks mighty nice in gloss black, pics coming soon....

I decided to pair the Canadian Funk with the Brit Diamond. ;)

This is truly high quality bass. Just accurate, tight, deep, powerful, forceful, bone-crunching, gut-felt bass.

But I have to confess. I did not use the dual Crown XLS2500. I used the 2 channels from the AT2004. :D

For an SPL level of 75dB @ 3m distance in my room, the Denon 3310 speaker channel level for the Funk subs was -10.0. That's MINUS 10.0.

As a comparison, the dual RBH SX-1010N was set to -12.0 for the same SPL on the AT2004 & Denon 3310. So I guess the RBH subs are a little more sensitive. On the single Crown XLS2500, Stereo Bypass mode, at 100% gain level, the Denon 5308 channel level for the dual RBH subs are @ -12.0 for the 75dB SPL.

Anyway, the dual Funk 18.0 TSAD are fantastic. Truly high end caliber subs.

Frankly, I'm surprised you even have room for them in there... :D

What are you crossing them over at? Or are you doing some double bass?

Wow those are drop dead gorgeous. Those Carbon Fiber cones look just beautiful. I'd rob your house if I thought I could carry those beasts out. That is it, I am selling some organs on the black market to finance some of those, anyone here need a kidney? A leg? I am a non-drinker so my liver is in pretty good shape, if anyone needs a partial transplant.

Btw, those look so much better without the grills. Keep the grills off, don't hide those beautiful cones from the world!
