My thoughts precisely. The real issue is I completely forgot that is down-firing and it's the show stopper for me as I still live in apartment ... Too bad really - it's a great deal...

The Outlaw has those little discs that you can put under the spikes for use on hardwood floors. So you could always put those under the spikes and then on the gamma if you chose not to lay it on its side.

I have mine on a great gramma (spikes, not the discs) and it's fine. I also haven't noticed any difference when using the gramma, but it's not like I've done any controlled testing.

Unfortunately I had terrible luck with shipping when I received it and that was with the Outlaw Boxes, which were destroyed. I definitely wasn't to try my luck with shipping in an after market box and packing material. Plus that would have added to the cost, plus shipping. I'm not totally sure it would have been worth the extra money and it just wasn't worth the effort on my part. I can't help it, I'm super lazy
