Thanks,

You can probably sell it quicker if you can certify that Marantz will honor the three year factory warranty. In other words that the serial number is valid and can be registered with Marantz.

Accessories4Less has it (refurb) for $1100 shipped. Granted that yours is not a refurb, but you will need to offer a better deal in addition to Marantz warranty guarantee.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the contribution.

I will say, to anyone considering this receiver, good luck with anything refurbed. :p

Also, to anyone local to me.. ask me about a special price AND warranty possibilities.

I've had no issues with refurb gear from AC4L either, but never bought something at the level of the 8200. It is a top model, but the flagship models are 9xxx. The 8200 is a great receiver as long as it has the hardware update that fixed the audio drop outs over digital.

Thanks once again for the glowing reports of other refurb units in my for sale thread...

But, it doesn't matter. The receiver is no longer for sale.

I think it is rude when people jump in a classified to put in their opinion on your sale.............just my two cents. That's a nice piece of gear. Good luck with it.

Comments regarding someone's sale such as this should be handled via PM. He has a right to sell his Marantz at any price he wants. If he doesn't sell it because he has it marked higher than it can be purchased somewhere else it harms no one but the person selling it (assuming they can't sell it, which he did). By calling him out in his for sale thread, you basically are telling anyone else that's reading this thread that he's a fool, which is not fair to him or people shopping either. If someone is interested in that receiver I will assume they will try to work a deal.

Telling him his price is too high because you can get a refurb from A4L for less is like you selling your car for $5000 but the guy down the street has the same exact car, same miles, same condition with a salvage title selling for $3000. Should you reduce the price of your car even though it has a clean title and the other guy doesn't?

Please use PMs to address price issues, it keeps classifieds much more civil.
