2007 Mustang GT. It's my 4th Stang. I got $6000 for my 95 as a trade-in.

But I had Hondas as a teenager. They were ok. There are models of every car maker that I like. As long as you maintain your car, it should last no matter what the brand. By the way, my wife has a 1991 Nissan 240SX that has 270,000 miles on it, and besides a cooling problem if you're stuck in traffic, it runs just fine.
Very Nice Darien!! Good Luck and enjoy.

I also had lots of luck with a 240SX a 1990, it had 160k when I traded it in.
I only changed brake pads and changed the oil.

The 72 Ford Torino in my avatar went 95k before I personally rebuilt the engine. Original battery and clutch, went 95k.

The 351 Cleveland was a great engine. This car had (all factory) functional ram air, dual point distributor, 4 speed Hurst, dual exhaust. With these options it was called a 351 CJ or Crobra Jet.
If I don't count replacing two water pumps, timing chain, countless starters, 2 idler arms, tie-rod ends, 2 distributors, a carburetor; it was a fun car.
I really liked that car.

Thanks dude. Sleepers are sweet. Nothin' like pulling up next to a BMW or Vette and totally whoopin' their ***!
So TRUE!!

My mother had a friend who's husband had squeezed a small block V8 into a VW bug!!! Now that car was BAD-***!! When he decided to sell it, I begged my mom to buy it for me, but there was NO way she was handing a car like that to a 16 year old kid. :D
LOL...damn her!!
Hahahah

I'll be swapping out the rims and tires pretty soon. Gotta get rid of the stock exhaust too. It's too damn quiet. I've had Magnaflow exhaust on my last 2 Stangs, so I'll be going with Magnaflow again for this one.
In all honesty, I like the wheels/rims you have now. I can't speak for the mufflers. I don't know what my friend did with the exhaust....but it sounds really mean. It's not just mean at the tailpipe either....it's MEAN UP FRONT too!! When he pops the hood and guns it....the sound coming from the engine compartment is INSANE. When he idles it, it kinda sounds like there is a tin-can loose inside rattling around........LOL It has something to do with the intercooler system. It's one sick pony...and so is yours.

enjoy...

My current car is an Acura RDX which is by far the best car I have ever owned. The 2nd best was a 1991 Chevy Corsica (no majors repairs needed until the very end near 100,000 miles). But to answer the original question, since my dad worked for Chevy (at the GM Tech Center in Warren, MI) for most of his life, I'll choose Chevys.

I read that the other day, pretty funny.

I remember thinking that the Cadillac Catera was a cool car. I remember wondering what the hell the XR4Ti was. "Who the hell makes this car? Is it a Mercury? But it says Merkur." I briefly had a car that looked like the Chevy Citation, but it was a Pontiac Phoenix. What a piece of crap. It was free though.

Kias used to be a pathetic joke, but now that they're basically Hyundais the quality has gone up significantly. I've got almost 100K on an '06 Rio5 hatch. The only bugaboo was a cracked coil pack out of the gate, after that it's been rock-solid with nothing other than routine service. The liftgate is wide enough to fit my Leslie cabinet into for gigs, it's quieter at highway speeds than a car of its station has any right to be, and it wasn't too expensive. I test-drove one on a lark, not expecting much...I figured it would be a tin can. Nope...Hyundai did an amazing job remaking that brand. The new-gen Rio shares the platform and drivetrain with the Hyundai Accent, and both have been well-received by the automotive press.

The new Ford Fiesta coming in 2010 from their German division is going to be a kickass little hatch...I wish they would have brought it over here a few years ago! But they've always lagged behind their European division...the Focus was 2 years old when they brought it over here in 2000, for example. And for whatever reason American buyers don't seem to be hip to the handiness of a hatchback. Pity that...

I had 2 Chevy Tahoes. The first one's engine literally came apart (it threw two pushrods and the engine had to be completely replaced). The second one's intake manifold cracked open in 4 places at 50000 miles. It cost me (a college student) over $15k to have a vehicle after those two incidents. I will never buy a Chevy again. I got a Ford Sport Trac that has caused me zero problems, besides debt ;).

Ford used to be crappy, but their quality has improved since their struggles in 2003 and 2004. They are now rated above Toyota in initial quality IIRC. In the future, if I don't buy an import I will stick with them - I am really liking the new Taurus and Fusion.

I would love to afford a Shelby GT500 when I am employed and such, but I am also waiting for Ford to realize that Americans might really enjoy some of their Australian products...

Didn't Daniel Craig drive a sweet lookin' Ford in Casino Royale?
He sure did. I don't know what that one was, maybe a Ford Mondeo, that is an overseas car that everyone raves about, and they took some design cues from it for the 2010 Taurus and Fusion I believe.
