Flavor

Flavor "A distinctive yet intangible quality felt to be characteristic of a given thing"

One of many definitons I found. What it has to do with speakers gawd only knows.

Mysteries of the universe I have yet to figure out from the mulester's posts:

References to:
.....Bologna
.....Strawberry Preserves
.....Rocky Mountain homecomings
.....L Pads
.....When Clint became his best friend
.....When is someone on this forum finally gonna "Report"....please
.....This whole cross wiring thing

I could go on - I guess - but why. the thing is, I do read through this stuff and I could not be more confused. :)

I gotta wonder about molester or whatever his name is suppost to be.

Is he suppose to be on drugs, but, perhaps, has failed to take his drugs?

Or is he on drugs that he should not be consuming?

.....hey guys, I just got in and for me it's 6 in the evening....let's lay to rest that implication about me being on drugs or needing to be, please....I got a computer-the-first about five years ago to follow and discuss a certain stock OTC:BB....I posted and asked questions, and emailed and asked questions....my high school and college typing skills came back nicely....I got to the point quickly I could post as calmly as you please....people reading my stuff didn't enter into my being nervous....I've been in front of crowds since pee-wee baseball....then I found this board, and actually know a little about what is being discussed....so I asked a question about wiring....I got an answer and said I appreciated the response and answer....I decided to read a little and here we went, haha....what makes the humor work is we only have silent typed words to work with....our minds assign a face, a voice, any accents, and delivery....who said Cajun????....Hillbilly, thank you.....

....I am consumed tonight with thoughts of a bbq sauce I make and may try to retail....I just finished a load and am tasting it in research....I am also tasting a sample of the two last loads as I ABC, haha....nothing tonight to report except I will leave the mains wired in series until I get more speakers to work with....I don't want to lose the surround most importantly, and they don't sound good to me now normal, with their accent rears in surround too far away....but I ain't gonna' lose surround, can I get an Amen?....I may be losing a little low end, but I got my subs to keep me warm....

.....I want to say some things about paralleling and series-wiring....maybe tomorrow....keep in mind, in preperation, that a wiring curcuit is not completed until a wire returns to the negative/ground (-) terminal post of the amp....whoever said a Dodge Dart was incorrect....boys, get ready to turn green....I am the proud owner of a 1964 Ford Pinto....but you gotta' remember, I lie a lot....no, I currently am embracing the notion that a three year-old Towncar kept for 2 years is hard to beat....Lincolns are built like a tank with 9 inch differentials....yeah, the size found in most dump trucks, haha....

.....to whomever it was who said they enjoyed the humor and keep up the good work....I got the impression you have kept up with my every word....that, in itself, takes true talent, hahaha.....

.....oh, the main listening CD I have been using for research the last six days or so, is Dazz Band's Greatest Hits....these are older Black men who are brimming over with talent, IMMHO....Clint, I heard you were looking in the neighbor-lady's windows after dark....anything to that?....

I have to admit you can be quite amusing at times. The ….. makes it difficult to read though. Try a ; or : or, Please!!!!! I am now confused, I believe you wired the speakers in series, are they in or out of phase now?

BTW: ford didn’t make the pinto in 64.

Mulester...

...I'm still not too sure about what yer sellin'...maybe it's early Alzheimers, a senior moment, a brain blip...BUT...(and I may be barking up the wrong flagpole here), just in case you are unaware of the following: long ago, in the good-old stereo days, in a pre-digital time, there was thing called "Dyna-quad" or as it was sometimes known the "Hafler hookup".

The premise: Since all source material had(has?) out of phase information contained therein, by wiring two additional speakers in series with the + side of both channels of the amps outputs, that info could be retrieved and would(to some degree-dependent on the amount of info contained) produce a fairly convincing surround-type soundfield...Is this what you have happened upon?

And FWIW, BIG DISCLAIMER: It's only compatible with common-ground outputs, so if your amp is of a different design, it's a no-no!

perhaps all of his posts should just be put in "The Steam Vent", as they really are nothing but hot air.

If he wants to be taken seriously, he should post as such. As it is, he is currently mocking this forum with all his "disguised" plugs in his posts. Perhaps they are just random mumblings. It is obvious he can communicate when he wants to. He just would rather joke around, play, and waste members time.

Poooor ol' Mulester...

...misunderstood by nearly everyone...

It's just an attempt at a down-homey, ad lib, off-the-cuff, stream-of-conciousness(?) style(???)of writing...it does get a bit thick at times though.

Why, I remember the good-old-days...daddy loved that Studebaker, with it's heated seats and all...folks used to jabber about anything that popped up...topics turned on a dime. Folks mighta' been less educated then, but in a way, smarter...now the sound-bite done gone bit us, BIG TIME...the world-wide-whatsis has taken us out of the town square and put us squarely in our respective cubicle; more like pigeon hole maybe...Everything is now, better yet, yesterday...where is it, why wasn't it? Now all the jabbering is on the cell-phone...and talk about jabber. "oh, I'm on the bus...or the market...or in the cr@pper!" and lordy heavens...not only one side of the converstation, thanx to the ol' walkie-talkie feature, you have to be a captive audience to both inane morons! But nobody wants to waste time, right?...yeah right!...CLUE NUMERO UNO...this whole thing is a waste of time!!! The hobby it's own self is a "pastime"...think definiton, bang...zoom...ephiphany...so complaints about an individual "wasting our time" is treated thusly...give it a rest, switch channels, let your fingers do the walking...this way to the egress!!! Use your precious time wisely...

jimHJJ(...tread lightly, leave no trace, give a hoot-don't pollute...)

You don't have to put my name into every single post you make. Do it again (even in a reply to this email) and I will ban you for a week just for fun.

no no... I don't misunderstand him. It's a style.. I understand that... I respect that. But save it for non-serious questions... If you have a question, and want help. There's no reason for it. Most people I know, when they are looking for assistence and help, they try to explain their situation as clear as possible.

...I'm not sure if he's looking for help(or far beyond any we could supply) or just trying to share his "discoveries" in a "clever" way...as I said, it's a bit thick at times...
