I don't think this is the place to barter....I bought a 578a for $129.99 ($100 US approx) and returned it last month as it was nowhere near my existing player, a Panasonic F85, in picture quality and DVD audio ...I liked the fact it was a single player, and redbook CD's maybe sounded a tad better. I read so much about this player that it was the best deal out there..it is still lower end entry level stuff and was disappointed.

Not to mention it is probably one of the models with the firmware problem that came out early on.

When you factor into it the US-Canada exchange, shipping, the fact it is used, I don't know if I would even offer you the $75 I did before..that was after a few wobbily pops yesterday... :) .and that's Canadian dollars...approx $60 US. It's used. Worth half what you paid for. Period.

Good luck with it.

Well Mr. Kuknocklehead,
if you don't want to barter, quit wasting everyone's time and go get it really cheap since you are such the bargain hunter and know such a good deal.
If you don't want it, don't buy it, and stop with the posts.
Ya hey dere.

digital monkey:

You are the one selling an inferior product for a laughable price and wasting OUR time. We tend to help each other around here find the best products for the best prices and give advice when needed. Without getting defensive, as you did. My response was to merely let you know you are on glue if you think that product is worth that and I needed to tell you so. Nice first posts. You come on here just to sell something. Beat it, jerk.

BTW, learn to spell.

Im not going to be as harsh but your price is unreasonable. If someone looks they can get this unit for 99.00. I would only offer 70 to 75 at most. Even though it is new, it is opened and used.

Hey guys,

It is quite obvious he is not asking for any advice here. He has set his price, so only time will tell. Try not to ruin his chances of selling his DVD player. It will become obvious he has over priced it if no one gives him an offer.

Save your advice for other areas in the forums. :)

I apologize if I hurt his chances of selling it. Everyone is entitled to that. I was just choked at the way he responded to my post...his confrontational, defensive tone. wasn't looking to argue with the guy but calling me a knucklehead was inappropriate.

Sorry, Johnny. You should have bit your lip instead of crapping on this thread. You threw the first punch - and left yourself open for a response.

Now, back on topic. This is a well-made player. It performs quite well, too. In fact, I found that my 578 was made better than the S97 from Panasonic. I was dissapointed in the build quality of that $299 player.
