PT- no pain to touch or any sign of nerve problems. Did all those foot resistance things. Toe raises and calf stretch dealies. He did say I need ankle strengthening though. My left foot especially since that has more pain. He also said don't rule out barefoot shoes since that's been the only thing that really has worked. I'm afraid though it's been consistent throughout my lifetime where the foot pain cannot be detected by touch. Pretty informative appointment though. He said cold or heat just depends upon how it feels.

Most of the big brands sell a "wide" option that has a wider toe box. I know hokka does, because my dad just bought some. I'd maybe look into that option.

Currently where I'm at is I think the used pair of NB 1540s I bought on ebay are being taken off rotation for good. Those new are upward of $200 LOL. I was at Walmart and bought the "air pillow" insole by something other than Dr Scholls. I figured after spending too much on the inserts at the specialty store that I was going with something that didn't look identical. They're pretty good for $9. Ah they are a little bit of a improvement, but I'm putting them in a barefoot shoe, making me question what's the point of buying barefoot if I have to stack them. It 'might' work over time, but I'm on concrete floors..... What's the difference between the $15 Dr Scholl inserts and the $50? I dunno. They all look alike. Oops, after giving them my money. I doubt the Hokas are getting any more tries. I had some of the worst shooting pain from them at work, so when I return them who know what I will decide on. It's kinda pathetic though on my part since I discovered years back spending much on shoes didn't pay cause I cannot tell till later if the shoe works. Higher up then Walmart's "Avia," but lower than $200.
