I was just wondering how you made out with your Marantz the other day.
Glad to hear it work out as well as it did!
It would be interesting to find out from the repair tech if they see this as a pattern failure or just a fluke.

On another note as before, Audyssey wants to give a top end lift. This sounds bad and wrong. I wonder if others have noted this. I think the problem comes from the HF roll off with distance from the source and SHOULD NOT be equalized. I think this auto EQ program equalizes for this and that is just plain wrong.

Others might want to investigate.

Audyssey does not Eq any other part of the frequency spectrum on my rig, just the very top end, and it ruins things.
No in my case it did no such lift. It was left almost level but did roll 16K off slightly. Mine is AV7005 so it has the XT but I don't think Audyssey would EQ roll off from distance regardless of what versions.

If you write to them, they will (in Chris the president's name) response typically within 48 hours usually sooner except for weekends. I think you have to register as a user first with their support website first.
