Minimalist and bold

Most important for me is that they lie flat and comfortably against my ear. I wear earbuds with a motorcycle helmet, and also often wear them while lying down and resting my head against a pillow. Any protrusion from my ear makes the above uncomfortable.

A couple of words I would use is quality, and overbuilt. A couple more would be sturdy, armored. I like the look of my personal audio equipment (as well as any other audio equipment)to scream extreme craftsmanship. The same way Carhartt is the very definition of tough work clothing.
