I don't show my system off, but when I want to enjoy it to the max, I put on Crosby, Stills and Nash and listen to some of the sweetest harmonies ever recorded. Or, I put on Iron Butterfly's In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida and blast the pictures off the wall for about 17 minutes.

Aperion Response

1. Other; my mother's boyfriend has a collection of thousands of CDs. If I'm looking for new music, I check out his collection! I'm planning on digitizing the whole library over the next few months.

2. At home while on the computer, I'm listening to music right now! And second in my 4runner with a JBL sound system (not as good as I'd like). While listening in the car, a good quality song will sound like I'm in the studio with the artist.

3. CD, PC lossless and lossy, and eventually(this summer!) my own streaming server.

4. The top of my audio list is a whole system: audio in every house in the room, including outdoors, and connected with my car. I'm very excited!

5. Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll choose an album from The Beatles, 2009 remaster; lossless. The listener feels as if they're in the studio, it's absolutely amazing. Right now I'd play Abbey Road.

Other (explain): This is hard to say, as I listen to others music at work which is a combination of local PC mp3 rips or streaming content. At home, it's XM Radio. All three I probably listen to in equal parts.

We are finishing the basement so that adds two more video zones and one of which will replace our family room as the 'theater' area. So, a new surround zone and a few stereo zones. Will need a new receiver for that space.

I generally go to movies for demos of the system, but I will go with some good rock or something. I'm not to picky with music selections. Good music is good music. For movies, anything fun. Transformers has some great audio in it for example.
