Contest Question: What CDs/DVDs do you use to test out a system? Please list what each of your preferred discs is good at testing.

I usually only use Movie DVD's as that is what my primary use of my system is. Occasionally I pop a Miles Davis or a nice classical piece in.

As far as movie dvd's go, I most often use:

Saving Private Ryan DTS - there is a nice mix of low explosions and higher pitched background noises.
Matrix - Great all around, especailly for trying to follow the action from speaker to speaker.

CDs : jimi hendrix and eric clapton for guitar, nora jones for vocals, ac/dc for bass

DVDs : i dont really use any dvds for testing, only audio stuff
