Since I've never auditioned the Synchrony One, I can only extrapolate from my audition of the Imagine T.

Since the Imagine T sounds very good, I deduct that the Synchrony One must sound even better.

A = BP7000
B = Imagine T
C = Synchrony One

Since A > B, & since C > B, it is possible that A = C.
That is ilogical captain as hearing is subjective. :p

Thank you for pointing that out, Mr. Spock, but everything discussed here, except for actual measurements, is purely subjective.:D

Did I miss where you got rid of the Def Tech's...?

I see you have the Orions, what else are you sporting in that pic that isn't listed in the products you own...

The other speakers in his pic are his wants - Revel Ultima Salon 2 and KEF Reference 201/2 bookshelf speakers.

Not quite. Some people claim to hear things that they cannot hear, and this can be tested. Hearing is not subjective, but preferences for one thing that is different from another is subjective.

As Phillip pointed out, I have everything in the Signature Picture, except the Revel Salon 2 and KEF 201/2, which are on my TO BUY list.:D

I placed an order with an out-of-state dealer for the Revel Salon 2, and they tell me the Salon2s are suppose to arrive at their store at the end of next week, but we'll see.

As for the KEF 201/2, a friend, who is a KEF dealer is helping me with getting 3 of those, but he is quite busy with his business.

My plan is to do 5.0 movies with two Salon2s (front L/R) and three 201/2 (Center, Surround L/R).

And then 2.0 music with the Orions.

Is there not a matching center for the Salon2s? I'd love to have any of those speakers though :D

Thanks. Any reason why you aren't ordering the Voice2, ADTG? :D

I knew you were going to ask that next.:D

I love the way the Salon 2 looks, but I just don't care for the way the Voice 2 or Gem 2 look personally.

In addition, I've never been a fan of horizontal speakers. Even when I had the Def Tech CLR3000, I placed it vertically. Using horizontal speakers to me is almost like going against my religion or politics or something.:eek:

And no offense to anyone with the Gem2s, but I just don't care for the way they look.

It's just my taste. I think the KEF 201/2s look stunning.

I've also auditioned the Salon2 and KEF 201/2 and absolutely loved the sound.:D

Personally, I don't put too much stock into that "timbre matching" business. If the speakers are very accurate, they will do what they are supposed to do.

For the Center speaker, they need to produce crystal clear dialogue with great dynamics.

For Surround speakers, they need to produce ambient sound.

That's how I feel.:D

In the back of my mind, I also want to get the KEF 207/2s. But I just don't have enough room for the Orions, Salon2s, and 207/2s in the same room.

If we get another house in the future, I would like to get a room with the size of 30' x 30' x 15' ceiling so that I can have all three speakers. I'm crazy, I know.

But at least I don't own $200,000/pr speakers & tube amps like my crazy cousin in Texas.:eek:

If you don't like horizontal speakers, then you don't like horizontal speakers :) I haven't used a mismatching front 3 in awhile so I can't really comment on the whole timbre matching thing...but to me a matching front would be more aesthetically pleasing. Of course, it's your money and your setup so if you like it, then that's great. I also think the 201/2 are beautiful. Let us know how they sound together with those salon2s when you get them then :D

I will definitely let you guys know about them, and compare with the Orions.:D

I like the way the e55ti's big brother the upcoming RBH SX-8300 looks. With the right choice of 30 veneers, I bet it looks ultra sexy. I would expect it to sound great too, though i can't imagine a 6.5 inch MTM being worth $9000...

But i have had my fill of rbh speakers. getting the same brand again, only 10 times more expensive, just feels boring ;P

I would like to see what the RBH Signature Reference SX-T2 look like. Why don't they even have photos of them?:confused:

Are they really made in China?:D

I've seen those drawings, but c'mon, those are just drawings.

I cannot believe they don't actually have REAL pictures of the SX-Reference line.

The SX line probably look A LOT better than their Classic line.

Have you ever had the chance to listen to any of the Salk lineup.... ?

Jim was just talking about his new Sound Scape jr speakers - which are to be used in conjunction with subs as they have less bass response, in both bookshelf and small tower version... I'm quite interested...

Given the fact that they say:

"RBH Sound is also one of the few audio manufacturers who still offer a series of products manufactured in the United States (this has had a positive impact in international markets)."

http://www.rbhsound.com/about.php

but they don't say (at least I have not found it anywhere) which series of speakers is made in the U.S., I would expect that most of their speakers are not made in the U.S., and, of course, one can make speakers in the U.S. from parts made in China or anywhere else, so they could be waiting on a shipment from China to make (i.e., put the drivers into cabinets) in the U.S.

Certainly, if all of their speakers were made in the U.S., one would expect them to brag about that. Their wording strongly suggests that they are mostly made elsewhere, and for most companies, that seems to mean China these days. Probably, only RBH's most expensive series of speakers are made in the U.S., and the rest are probably made elsewhere, given their wording.

Anyone who owns some RBH speakers can look on them or their packaging to see if they can find any information on this issue, and that will tell us about a particular model, though, of course, a model can be made in more than one country at a time if they wish, or in one country for a while and then made elsewhere. So it won't really tell us much about current production, unless it was a very recent purchase of new speakers.

However, I have seen (and own) some gorgeous speakers made in China that sound great, so as far as the product itself goes, I would not be too concerned about whether it was made in China or not.
