Be waiting on your report. Not and emo-nut but I am very impressed with my XPA-5. How do they do that for $799?
I'm a "bang for the buck" kinda guy, which is what steered me towards Emotiva in the first place. It's kind of hard not to become an "emo-nut" once you've tried one of their products. True, I only have experience with their amps, (LPA-1, now XPA-5), but I've had nothing but great experience with them.
What makes me love Emotiva is their customer service. When I bought my XPA-5 they let me send them separate checks so I didn't have to pay for it all at once. Even crazier than that, they shipped the amp out as soon as they got my checks!! They didn't wait to cash them all first.
And to top it all off, I got my XPA-5 for $599 with free shipping back when they had it on sale briefly!!!
I'm not an audiophile, so I don't know how useful my review will be. But this will be my first pre-pro so I'm pretty excited to see if there will be any sonic differences between the UMC-1 and my Yammie 661. But my main reason for buying it was the flexibility it will give me. I'm really looking forward to being able to set different crossover points for all of my speakers.
