I can go from this too Nora Jones and that scares people :p;)
That is funny. :D

It's like seeing my 16YR daughter going from watching "The Walking Dead" series to watching "My Little Pony" series an hour later. o_O:D

My range used to be pretty wide. But these days, it's pretty narrow. :D

An easy cheat is most 120 volt outlets for your home air conditioners are on a dedicated line. That's why I took out my air conditioner in the music room and used it to power my equipment.. Also surgical grade outlets way better than standard outlets. And yes Home Depot sells them . easy way to find out if that line is a dedicated line is to plug lights in every outlet in the room you are going to use.. And start flipping breakers off to see what powers what. If you flip the air conditioner breaker and only that light goes out. you have a dedicated line

Neat, but is the room comfortable to listen in now?

The layout of the family room in our home doesn't lend itself to great seating for TV and provide good traffic flow etc so I knew the loft was getting the HT Equipment and put a amp 20 homerun circuit on the main TV wall (4 outlets and the remainder of the room has a 15 amp breaker for the other 6 outlets, lights, etc. so two breakers for that space.

No air conditioners down south ??? Most homes have a dedicated line already and most often is the one with highest amp rated breaker.. Just spend some time and look and you could save some $$$$
Not what I meant. From post #34 you said: That's why I took out my air conditioner in the music room and used it to power my equipment

In the deep south, people literally die over the summers without AC!

One night last week I was in a different kind of mood...my 1st selection was Classical lots of peaks and valleys, then some Linkin Park, and finished the night with Diana Krall.

And slept well. ;)

Yes, yes it is. I made the fun mistake of mowing my front yard yesterday at about 3pm. Holy crap. Back can get long... We also just started water restriction here...

Quotes in this new format come out kind of weird when more than one person was in the post you're quoting....

With windows open and ceiling fan yes I can spend hours in there and be comfortable . But I had to find a ceiling fan that was quiet with no lights .. Lights and pull chain where making noise at high music volume levels. Found a nice quiet plain fan that does the job

Ok how do you listen over air conditioner ???? none out there quiet enough for me. Unless you have central air conditioning then I can understand

I turn my AC off to have a good listening session. Even running a regular 12-inch house fan on low is too loud for me. I have no neighbors, so that is not a source of noise. Fact is, I'd love to find an "audiophile house fan," one with a rheostat or something to slow the blades way down so that I could keep from sizzling but still enjoy the music.

Sad thing is they most likely don't make the fan I have now any more. I will look for you . Only noise is the air movement .. Here is the fan Home depot no longer sells it but here is a web site .. get remote kit https://www.discountlighting.com.au/tempest-black-1300mm-ceiling-fan

Where are you located?

Yeah, down here, Central AC is pretty much a given, at least for any fairly modern house like 1970s or 80s or so. And, I would certainly never live in a house without central AC. I'm typically running the AC through October and sometimes even into November.

The larger the fan blade diameter, the lower the noise to move an equivalent volume of air.
