if you're talking about the one on the hand truck ... the one with three ports

that's one of the ported 18"ers I ordered


the A5-350 (ported 15"er) has two ports.

i hope so, though i don't why he has three more to build when there's obviously one already finished. unless "build" includes port installation and painting.

nope, some guy named Duaned got the third one. Craig already has the two driver version and has the 15"er on order.

now I know why I don't DIY. the last time I built my car's sub enclosure I had a tape measure, a hand saw, a hammer and a screwdriver. are those all your equipment?

hehehhe Yeah... I just finished insulating my garage, and had the guys put up the drywall, so I could start working in a garage a bit... but all the stuff in my basement is newly aquired for the subwoofer build...

After cutting the first couple of boards Im just getting the hang of the planer.
Cool piece of equipment. I like having tools around to tinker with stuff.

The wood, is Cherry and has some really beautiful grain to it.. Once I get it stained up and laquered it should really be quite beautiful..

it's all about priorities who needs to eat when you have subwoofers

and not to be a brag ... I have 4 bad *** subs

seriously though this should be my last "upgrade"

the moment I have nowhere to put the subs, I will stop. so, DD goes to the 2 channel system ... (will have to convince the wife to let me switch my bedside table into a DD end table)

dual CHT-R's will go to the dedicated HT#1

axiom should go to the PC system (the moment I get a better receiver there with a crossover less than 90hz)

12x14 room ... distance: unknown, but not close range ... measured in the listening position.

103db at 15hz is quite nice!

Looks to be tuned to about 18hz-19hz or so.

Anyways, here is what I just posted in another thread.

At the $600 price the edesign audio A5-350

15", 550 watt monster of a sub.

That A5 looks real good, so I just now called the company.
And I think the 18" (A7-450) version will be the one to buy (granted at 1300.00)
But dang, look at the graph.
(This will likely be my next sub) 110db at 17Hz.
From talking with the designer on the phone, it WILL have a large footprint. (possibly 250lbs)
25x25x36 (36 tall), however, these may not be finished specs, so don't quote me as quoting him.

That is gargantuan. His Paradigm's look like kindling next to that beast. I wonder how he doesn't over-raw them with that thing, I find I have a hard enough time from keeping my DD-15 from getting too loud and not blending with my Studio's.

I have a DD-18 and dual DLS-5000R's running 10db hot from the mains, I don't lose overall detail. but I do have my front towers powered by 360wpc external amps.

perhaps you should fast forward your intention to buy the bryston amp.
