I have had this on CD since the 90's. So damn good. Has anyone else heard this? It is mentioned on various top albums ever lists, like top 50 new wave records from the 90's. It is in a book called "1001 albums you need to hear before you die". I don't know if it's actually new wave. More like power pop. I remember calling it "anthemic rock" trying to describe it to someone. Grunge? Hard rock? It is loud, melodic, guitar rock. LP's of it are not super easy to come by in the USA. until now. I just found it on Amazon for $40. It comes with a bonus track on a flexi disc. Prices are all over the map elsewhere. According to reviews, it's a dynamite pressing.

Tracking says this LP has been in Kansas for a few days now That obviously could be wrong, especially this time of year. USPS Informed Delivery says it comes today but I'm not counting on that. Bought it on Amazon, where it says it's three discs, but the track list in the description says nothing about a mystery 3rd disc. I am assuming that that is a misprint. It includes a flexi disc with one bonus track. But I saw something about an issue that has a 12" loaded with B-sides and alternate tracks. I hope that is the one that arrives. Discogs doesn't mention a third disc I don't think.

I have that CD too. There are a few moments that work. It is certainly a different vibe than their debut album five years earlier. When guitarist Donna Mathews left the band before "Menace", it seems their sound did too. Menace is more industrial and not the power pop or "Britpop" that the self-titled album was.
