Is there a reason why I cant get this dvd to play in 5.1? For some reason, only my center speaker and sub are playing. I have tried everything, i think. Any ideas?

Is the DVD encoded in 5.1? I highly doubt the original dukes will be in 5.1.

Sounds like the DVD is DD 1.0; ie Mono. That's not all that unusual for older tv shows and even ancient movies that were transferred to DVD.

Your receiver may allow you to send that mono signal to both the left and right speakers for a pseudo stereo effect.

Speaking of which.....

I watched this movie tonight....LOL Having grown up watching the Dukes as kids, I'll have to admit that I enjoyed it. It kept true to the origional in that it has rediculous car jumps, chases, crashes, & Daisy:eek: ,

I wouldnt say it was worthy of a 'friday night beer & pizza' movie night, but it work just on on this beautiful Thursday evening. I liked the music soundtrack too:D

Is this the move of not long ago, or the TV series on DVD?

This is clearly the TV series. The movie was released in Dec 2005.
This thread was started 5 (almost 6) months prior to the movie coming out.
I have the TV series and the movie, the TV series is in 2.0 mono.
