Dual subwoofer replacement in odd shaped room

I have T-shaped room and two subwoofers. Right one is at the corner, but I am not sure where I should be putting the left one because of the odd shape of the room. I have attached a sketch. I am looking for suggestions please. All the walls are dry-wall. Ceiling is unfinished hard wood. Floor is carpet. Since these subwoofers are very heavy, not so modified to move the around for a test.

The unconventional room shape and use of two subs should really help to keep room modes in check, so you have a good starting point. (Good subs, too.)

You could do the "crawling for bass" thing to determine the best locations. I understand your reluctance, but it only requires moving one sub to the couch.

Blending with your main L and R speakers is considerably easier if the subs are in close proximity to the speakers, so leaving the subs where they are in the layout diagram might work quite well. (That's probably how I would lean, I'm a bit OCD about seamless, perfect sub/mains crossover.)

You could deploy one of the subs behind the couch for that tactile near-field bass, but placement in the middle of the room is generally suboptimal.

Looks like a good spot to put them. The front of the room. I’ve not had a room this shape. Have you set it up yet?

I set it up and I have been using it for a while. What made the biggest difference in quality of sound is upgrading from Yamah RX-V675 to TSR-700. The new AVR allows to do 8 measurements with YPAO mic at different locations. I ran some tests, 3 measurements vs 8 measurements. I saw significant improvement in sound quality when I did 8 point measurements. I was actually surprised. I believe YPAO do better optimization with more data points.

I did the crawling for bass for the sub at the corner; that is why it's there. When I purchased the second sub, I was too lazy. But when I have the strength :) and the time, I will give a try to your suggestion. Currently, it sounds satisfying but it may improve the sound.
