I rented it last weekend. Pretty good flick. Made me jump a couple of times. Definitely better than that Paranormal Activity pile of crap.

The fight with the old lady in the car was AWESOME!!!

im not the type to jump at scary scenes so for me any horror movie is never scary but i must say i did enjoy this film. is does have a few good scare moments to make the girl grab your arm and a nice twist so i would recommend this if you do like to rent horrors.

if you have bass shakers or a real good sub to shake the room then turn it up this will get the ladies to jump.

Hey, whashappenink folks?

Guess what?

I put that blu-ray title in my Panasonic DMP-BD55 blu-ray player las night,
and it wouln't play! Only the menu was accessible. Then when I click on "Play", from the top left corner in the menu, "caput", "Zip", black screen on my display that remained there permanently!!!
I eject the disc, and repeat the procedure, but same thing happened again!!!
Again, I did try over four times ('spent half hour screwing the dog'), to no avail!!!

Wassappening??? This is the first time EVER that my Panny BD55 behaved like that!!!

Anyone with any idea?

Do I need another firmware update for that title?

Where's help when you need it? ;)

And Sam Raimi (Spiderman) directed this movie too.

I used to think that a good director can turn any movie into a good movie.

Then I saw "Public Enemies" (Michael Mann). I thought "HEAT" was awesome.

I have not seen "Drag Me To Hell" yet.

So how are Sam Raimi's other movies? I have not seen his other movies either.

I still cannot believe that "Paranormal Activity" was the #1 movie at the Box Office!

I have not seen it and I will NEVER see it.

Just like I have never seen Blair Witch and I will NEVER see it.

I just finished watching this one and I have to say that overall I liked it. It had scary moments and funny moments and stupid moments, but most importantly of all I found myself entertained throughout while watching it. There were definately moments that reminded of the feelings from the original Evil Dead movies that Raimi previously made but without the cheesy schlock of them (FTR I like the Evil Dead movies). I have to admit I was fooled by the ending of the movie (slightly) and found it overall to build enough tension throughout and have enough misdirections to keep me from feeling like I was wathching a cliche, yet at the same time feel like a light hearted cliche (nice trick IMO) with throwbacks to a long forgotten movie formula of the original horror flicks of early cinema.

BD pq was quite good and the sound mix was spot on using the surrounds to not only add ambience but to increase the scare factor with ghostly emanations coming from all around throughout. I especially liked the balance of surrounds when we were visisted by unnatural forces in the movies or just to add a spooky feel. Overall I'd rate it a solid B+

Thanks for taking the time to share your thought. I will say, however, that you certainly brought up some rather interesting points. ;):);) Glad you like it!!!!!!
