Does this sound right?

I am trying to get help on another site, but am not getting many responses, hoping to get a little more help here. I just got done upgrading my system, & am unssure of how many more cables I need, & where to get them from.

I've got a component cable from the out on my dvd player to the in on my tv. And a HDMI cable from the out on my directv receiver to my tv.

So what I need then is to run 1 optic cable from the DVD player to the receiver.
1 optic from Directv receiver to Sony receiver (amp)

Then 1 component from tv to sony receiver (amp)

Does that sound right?

Anyone have experience with cables from monoprice.com or bluejeanscable.com?

My setup
Sony 50" SXRD
Sony 2000 ES receiver
HDdirectv tivo box
Panny DMR-ES10 DVD-RW
Infinity surronds, center, & sub

I cant see why you would need the component video cables from tv to reciever if the video outputs from your sources(dvd/digital tv) are already going straight into your tv.

Everything is right accept for this. You don't need this.
