Does anyone actually buy CRT tv's anymore?

But most of you are comparing CRTs which can only display SD signals to tv's that can display 1080 HD signals, so of course those will look better. Only a few rear projection crts could display HD (and better than lcd or dlp versions as the contrast and colour depth were better)

My current screen is a 32" widescreen HD 1080i 100 hz samsung CRT (WS32M model) and it has an excellent picture with my pioneer 490V on progresive (not sure what resoloution it would be displaying) i am waiting for full HD LCDs to come down a bit. it looks clearer on HD broadcasts than SD ones too except i havent got the HD sat reciever. does anyone know if some screens upscale to thier native resolution?.
