Did I make a huge mistake?

When setting up my HT, I didn't have enough in the budget for front/center speakers. I started with my receiver and rear surrounds. I put in Polk RC55i in-wall for my rears and Polk RC60i in the ceiling for the side surrounds.

My plan was to go with the Polk RTi A1 bookshelves and a Polk CS2 center once the funds were available.

I now have more $$ and I fell in love with the Axioms after seeing/hearing them and bought a pair of M3v2 bookshelves and a VP100 center.

My question is, did I overdo it on the Axioms and should I have stuck with the Polks? I have 30 days to return them once they arrive. Will I now need to upgrade my rears or should everything flow together? I've heard the recommendations of getting matching fronts/center but is it important to match the rears as well.

Maybe a little buyers remorse?

You don't have to worry too much about timbre matching your speakers unless you listen to a lot of multi-channel music (SACD/DVD-A).

For movies, you will be fine. For music, listen in 2.0 or 2.1 like God intended us to.

You are fine as long as your fronts match, they do so as PDawg said listen to music in 2.1 and the voicing will be fine for your rears as they are mostly effects .........

If you really like them, I say keep them. You'll never be sorry with something you like.
