Why Does My Audio Converter Keep Skipping Certain Files During Batch Conversion?

Hello everyone.

I have been trying to convert a large collection of WAV files to AAC format using an audio converter and noticed something frustrating. Every time I run a batch conversion, the software randomly skips between 10 and 20 files without any error message or explanation.

The skipped files play perfectly fine in my media player, so the source files are not corrupted.

I have tried different converter tools but the same files always get skipped. Has anyone experienced this specific problem before?

What could be causing selective skipping during batch audio conversion and how can I fix it?

I have not experienced this but only thing that I can think of is file properties. If on Windows, right-click of the file and select Properties. Check the file Attributes and also click the Security tab and check file ownership. If the ownership somehow got restricted, that could affect the converter. What happens when you try and convert one of the skipped files individually? Does the converter work then?
