Denon x4800h vs Onkyo RZ70

As for the difference between the Denon X3800h and X4800h, maybe it’s because the X4800h is made in Japan.

True, ironically, if you browse the threads on ASR, you will find that there are a few issues the made in Japan 4800 experienced, a few need to send their units out for warranty repair, whereas there seemed to have no issues with the 3800. Anthem is no longer made in Canada or China either any more, they are now made in Vietnam, but of course designed in Canada.

Where they are assembled don't seem to be that important any more, it likely has more to do with the QS/QA systems used in the factories, they are good ones in any countries.

@M Code may be able to chime in on this, having seen me posting much any more though.

80% of Denon and Marantz products are assembled in Vietnam by Sherwood/Inkel. Anthem, Arcam, JBL components are also assembled in Vietnam by the same subcontractor that originally built the Harman/Kardon AVRs. Note that the mentioned subcontractor factories in Vietnam, originally did assembly in China but switched due to the internal politics of China. But still about 75% of their internal components are sourced from China. However note that the latest JBL AVRs recently introduced are sourced from Nanjing, China by the factory that builds Cambridge, NAD components plus the majority of wireless accessories sold by the major CEDIA brands. I hope that clears the air, if there are more questions just post them...

Also, any reliable info yet on Yamaha's RX-AXA and RX-V's newest products, it seems there have been more issues reported on forums so I wonder if they are still the "best" in terms of AVR/AVP reliability perceived in recent years.

Yes.. There is an updated AVR lineup to be introduced in 2025, 1st part will be introed @ WCES 2025 (Las Vegas, NV) and Hi Fi & AV Show (Munich, Germany) the 2nd part @ CEDIA 2025 (Denver, CO) and IFA2025 (Berlin, Germany). Regarding Yamaha reliability, I have no knowledge of any reported issues.

I can't help but wonder if they may put out a successor to the yahaha CX-A5200. One can dream!
