suggest researching the panny a bit before buying it, not gonna bash but.... the first round had more than its share of issues
Well, the first rounds of anything will have issues and all kinds of bugs.

My current Panasonic DMP-BD10A works great, but it can only internally decode TrueHD & DTS-HR, not DTS-MA. It also has 7.1 Analog output. It is a great player, but I want internal DTS-MA decoding.

I see "Transport" a lot on high end players. I think it's just stating that they only play the disc. No decoding at all. Just pure streaming output. I could be way off on this though. So I think it's basically meaning a device that only takes what info is on the disc and sends it exactly as is to your processor (very few people with a receiver would ever spend enough for a transport). Status thing I think. My old processor was a Theta and they made CD and DVD transports.

Here here. I also have the BD10A and the only issue I ever had with it was resolved when I updated the firmware. I'm not really aware of any longstanding issues or bugs that affected the Panasonic, unlike the Samsung players.
