I just purchased a Denon Avr-591 to replace a Pioneer Elite VSX_24TX which abruptly went silent. This unit will interface with a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250HD cable box thru a HDMI cable, Sony DVP-NS 601HP DVD player thru a HDMI cable, Sony DVP C650D dvdplayer used to play CDs thru red/white audio cables into analog audio DVD in, Jamo Omege 3 (5.1) speakers and Jamo SW 410E subwoofer and to a Pioneer Elite Pro-510HD TV which does NOT have a HDMI slot (does have a BNC input and 2 multiscan component inputs) thru 2 sets of component video cables from the cablebox and from the HD DVD player.
My Question: Is this the correct setup? Is there a better way?I had hoped to separate the CD audio to an outside set of speakers (an A or B switch0 Which I cannot find. Should I get a different receiver?

I think you will need to look at the "sister" unit to the 591...the 1611. Both units are similar, except the 1611 has zone B amplifiers as long as your main setup is 5.1 (the menu allows you to use the "rear surround" channels of a 7.1 setup re-purposed as Zone B)
