Decisions, decisions

I do like the Yamaha aesthetics over the marantz. So the issues are with the yamaha pre pro only. The Mx 5200 is ok?
I didn’t see any non-SOTA measurements related to the MX-A5200.

The CX-A5200 had some non-SOTA measurements related only to the XLR output (not the RCA output) of the Front Left and Front Right channels. For example, THD was 0.1%, instead of 0.01% at a certain voltage.

Hmm so that is interesting on Denon 3600. Wonder if that means no Dolby upmixer use at all on dts or just no virtual heights without real height speakers? @PENG @AcuDefTechGuy @gene
I thought Dolby recanted and removed all restrictions?

Anyway, doesn’t affect me since the only upmixer I use is NeuralX. :D

So is that a good or bad thing? What is “SOTA”?

Not sure. Sounds like maybe they are back to their old tricks. I definitely prefer competition so we end up with the best tech.
