Folks, Crutchfield has new tool to help you compare tonal/sonic differences among the many speaker offerings. IIRC, there are ~130-132 bookshelf speakers to choose from. The speakers are played in an anechoic chamber w/several pre-selected music clips to choose from. Four speakers can be compared at any one time. Select the four that you want to compare and enter in the brand and model of your headphones. Then, select from the music genres and voila do your comparison. Here is a link for those that are interested:

Here is the full version of the "Heavy Metal" genre (1st Song) that is really not that heavy inmho. But, a pretty good selection nevertheless titled Perihelion:

Note: You can control for equal volume -OR-equal power. How neat! :)

Ya, something like that... they described it to me... tell the app they use what headphones you have and it does the rest.

Yeah, the tool does have its limitations. But, it can be somewhat helpful when comparing speakers. I have the JBL Everest 700 headphones. The list has the Everest 710. Doubt there is really much, if any, differences between the two. Certainly not going to buy the kit. However, with a 60-day trial period and returns of $10 for most of their speakers. What does one have to lose inmho.:)

The rest of the demo samples are much harder to come by. If anyone finds the full version of said sample, then please link it. Thanks! :)

Really like the sample by the Sokoband, but can not seem to find the exact song. The same can be said for the Mason Brothers sample Americana. Still working on the rest. Hopefully, I can find a few more.

Found a few more of the samples: :)

Brightwork "Pop"

Mason Brothers "Americana"

Sokoband "Modern Jazz"

Sub Seven "Alternative Rock"

The other (3) samples are much more difficult to find. Still working on it. Just not having much luck with the others.
