Had an Emo but it only worked when it felt like it. The Rotel stays ice cold, the PS3 GETS HOT!
You know Dawg, I was thinking... If you had an Emotiva Amp, you wouldn't be having these over heating issues... !!!

I know. I heard. I hope to God my Emotiva holds up if I keep it. I have a PS3 also. It's a hot little turd. I rarely use it. Only for games. I don't find much time for that these days... By the way, thanks for all your posts and help in the forums...

Many guys on here have Emos, love them and have recieved great CS so don't let me spoil that for you. My MPS drove my speakers as good as my Rotel but you burn me once, I am done with you...

I'm the same. Burn my once, shame on you. Burn me twice shame on me. Why give them the chance..

Yep, I raced Pro Mod drag cars for many years and we used Lexan for all windows.

I can just use Masonite, just thought it would be cool to use something else.
Ah. That's awesome. I always wanted to race legally :D.

Yeah Masonite is easy. I think Lexan would be much cooler though. Do it! ;)

I still haven't heard back from the dealer on the 690.

...and I am easy, all they needed to do was replace the whole dang thing, send me a free t-shirt and say "I'm sorry"....

That's a shame they didn't do that. That's what I would have expected. I wonder if they realize how many more units they would have sold had you been happy with their service. I'm sure you would have recommended them here online, like you do Rotel and others....

Part of it is my fault for not pushing harder for them to correct the mistake but it stressed me out just having the thing and them not standing up for it. I try not to talk bad about them but sometimes I still do. I mean, I have blown 3 woofers on my Paradigms and it was secondary to abuse. They just laugh at me and replace them but that's probably more my dealer taking care of me vs Paradigm taking care of me.

Yep, I was a bad mofo back in my younger years. I had a "full ride" with a race team and all I did was drive. It was fun tearing up their stuff and just walking away knowing that a new motor or body or whatever I tore up would be replaced and ready to run the next weekend.

Don't worry about the 690, I am spending too much money on home upgrades right now.

I wish I could do that with my Evo when I go to the track. I trashed my tires, brakes and rotors last weekend... Sucks..

But it was fun doing it!!!! :D

It was fun, I had a full ride for 6 years and was on my own for many years before that. I tried to get back into it about a year ago but it didn't pan out. I was always known for my reaction time and knowing just how hard to push the car but I am getting old and slow. Not to mention the fact that my balls have shrunk.

That's funny... I had heard they start to hang when you get older... :D

Oh, you meant, you aren't as brave... Gotcha.. :)

Hey Greg, I see you have the Audiosource AMP-100. Since you don't seem to mind going off topic and I didn't want to start another thread, how is it? I was thinking about buying a refurb from JR so I can use it with the Rotel for a zone 2 amp for upstairs, since I am doubting the Rotel is going to sell...

I paid 53 bucks for it and it runs my 52 buck, zone 3 Dual patio speakers just fine.

I used it to power my zone 2 (bedroom) SpeakerCrafts for awhile and it was fine for that too. Auto on and off, what more could you want for background music?

Sounds like exactly what I need as well. Now I want to find it for $53 bucks...

Since I had the credenza moved out, I went ahead and made a different back and used the heavy duty Velcro. Works like a charm.
If you had velcro all around I think it would hold just fine. They also make different strengths of velcro, so you could get a higher strength one if you were concerned.

Just a note: plexiglass is much, much harder to work with than masonite, in my experience. It loves to crack when you cut it. If you could pry the back off with minimal damage, I would just use velcro on the piece you already made instead...

The amp is good man.

I have a great blend going right now with the AS, SMS, amp and sub. The best I have ever had it sound although I am +3 hot on the low end.
