Yes today, September 17, is US Constitution Day.

It has to be one of the most amazing things ever written. Penned in the 18th century, it is still the supreme law of the land in the most amazing country that has ever existed - now in the 21st century.

But, can you tell me what all of these things have in common with modern reprints of the US Constitution?

Vitamins
Paint
Window Blinds
Most Kid's Toys
Hand Lotion

Curling Iron
Fruit Roll Up snacks
Dice
Breath Savers
Laser Printer Toner

And the answer is ....... They come with Warning Labels.

Wilder publications prints the following warning label on the United States Constitution:
This book is a product of its time and does not reflect the same values as it would if it were written today. Parents might wish to discuss with their children how views on race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and interpersonal relations have changed since this book was written before allowing them to read this classic work.
FOXNews.com - Publishing Company Under Fire for Putting Warning Label on Constitution

What a load of crap.

Not that I agree with the label, but it is free speech.

What I disagree with is FOX "News" drumming up another meaningless controversy.

Warning label, BFD, it is generic to every item the company publishes.

Focus on the document and those that put it together. Special thanks to Convention member Gouverneur Morris, who single-handed took the long wording of the various sections and condensed it into the relatively short passages that make up the writing as we now read it.
