I am adding a Denon AVR1706 A/V Receiver and Sorround Speakers.
Presently I have Samsung DLP w/ two HDMI ports
DISH DVR942 HD Cable Box running HDMI to Samsung DLP 56 1080p
Samsung Upconvert DVD player running HDMI to Samsung DLP
(these two cable connections, and that is it!)
I just bought a Denon AVR-1706 Receiver and Boston Sorround Speakers
Whats the optimal cabling setup? All devices have optical audio, component video, and HDMI (Receivers the only thing without HDMI)
1. Can I just run component video and optical audio (toslink) between my
Denon receiver and HD DVR942 cable box and then do the same from the
Denon receiver to the Samsung DLP?
2. And what about the DVD player?
