Connect old AV-amp to Emotiva power-pre set

I have a 7 channel Emotiva UPA-7 connected to the old Emotiva UMC-1 processor pre-amp , thus a 7.1 system.
For Dolby Atmos I obvious need 2 or 4 more channels and a new processor . I can update the processor to one that has Dolby Atmos , no problem .
But can I use my old and very good Denon AVC-11sr amplifier for the missing 2 or 4 channels or do I actually need an additional 2-4 channel power amp ?

I assume you meant AVC-A11SR. Yes you can use it as a power amp if you don't mind the inconvenience and are careful in doing so.
