Component Trouble on Trinitron

Yesterday I was trying to clean up some of the cable mess behind my tv and in the process I unplugged the compnent cables from the back of my TV. When I reconnected the TV I now get diagnoal lines and the screen is all jumbled. I was thinking that I plugged the blue into the green hole and the green into the blue hole. Would this cause this type of distortion even after I had made sure the plugs were in the right locations? I'm pretty sure it is my TV because when the cable box is off I still get the diagnol snow. Any suggestions?

This is the TV...

Are the component outlets where you are taking the video from, color coded? If so, follow the wires to the right colors. I think this could mess things up but you may have other cables dislocated? Start with the most logical and easy ones, then the less obvious.

Yes, everything is color coded and the plugs are in the right place. The green and blue were swapped by accident but I fixed that...

Plugging the wrong color video into the video in would not cause anything permanent, just off color pictures until corrected. Try to recheck the TV to make sure it is accessing the component video input. It may have reset itself to some default mode.
