Thanks for the link, I don't get confused too often but I am now. Why do people there think AH forum don't like Polk speakers?

I remember reading favourable comments on Polk speakers, some of them from people who own RTi10 and 12. I, for one, like my Energy Veritas, but for the price I paid I thought my little RTi38s are superior. I also don't remember seeing (I don't doubt there are some) any negative comments about Polks. Regardless, I wish JC was not banned......

however, he did repent later. I do think his email was contemptible and your actions valid. Alas you don't need us telling you that!

I would be interested in the material that he compared the speakers with.

Axioms are known for showing what a crappy recording REALLY sounds like.

Perhaps his polks cover up such recordings better than Axioms.

As someone new to this forum, I was interested in how the matter was going to be handled. The original post, whether telling the truth or not, was inflamatory towards Axiom and bashing towards Audioholics. The TOS clearly states if you have a problem with Audioholics you need to handle it through a PM. He chose not to use a PM and should not have been surprised (I don't think he was - it could have been his purpose) when he was banned.

Audioholics will be better off without those who break the rules with which they agree to when joining, and I suspect we will gain more members who participate because they are gone.

Just my newbie thoughts.

The Polk RTi series is not made of solid wood as Johnny Canuck made it sound. However, the RTi series is made out of MDF, and braced quite well internally making for a very solid cabinet. The exterior is then covered in real veneer with a cherry finish.

When I had the RTi8 speakers, I thought the finish was done very nicely - right up there with any piece of better furniture.
