Hello all,
I'm new to this website and would like some help if at all possible. Here's my question, Last night I went to best buy to get a new surround sound unit as my old one has went bad. I'm really wanting something kind of nice, but can't get very expensive. My reviewing of what they had to offer led me to want the denon avr-591 for $350. Upon arrival and talking to their professional "experts" the 20 year old said that system sucks and talked my wife out of it, who in turn talked me out of it. The salesman talked me into the pioneer vsx-820k for $300. But today upon reading about them I lost the video upconverting capability, which is something I think would be nice. The salesman said the denon sucks because it's very complicated to understand the directions, and extremely complicated setup. My way of thinking is the longer the setup, the better the sound quality. I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some help on this decision. Should I keep the one I have, or take it back to get the denon. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
John
