See how this works? A ~reasonably~ smart guy with tools at his disposal but still missing the obvious.

Tommy,

Make the coffee work for you. With coffee you can master the poop cycle. Wake up a little early.
Have a coffee. Take a dump. Wash your @$$. Go to work.

You won't have to use strange toilets ever. You won't be the guy who smells like he just took a dump.
You'll be more productive at work. The economy will improve and we'll be able to afford to:

(To the Beach Boys tune of Barbra-Anne)
Bomb, bomb, bomb ... Bomb Ira-a-an! :D

... I just couldn't help it! ...
Might backfire... (get it.. :D:rolleyes:) and you'll end up being that guy with the bumper sticker that says " I'm only speeding because I really have to poop"

Several of my Step cousins are deputies here locally. I kid you not....one of them stopped a guy that was speeding to get home to take a dump. Moral of the story.....dont run into the woods when stopped for speeding.....just crap your pants, its safer.

You guys are doing your part at laughter being the best medicine. Im literally drawing attention to myself for laughing so hard. I have family over today for my 35th B-Day....Yeah im getting old  its kinda depressing actually ;)

Peace,
Tommy

I have a Saeco Easy super automatic espresso machine that grinds, tamps, and brews espresso with one button and steams milk with a second button. I'm too lazy to do it all myself. :) The machine works great though and produces excellent espresso once it's dialed in.

I use nothing but Batdorf & Bronson beans. They are local but they also sell online. Their tasting room/roaster in Olympia WA by the farmers market is a great place to taste all of the blends 100% fresh. I usually use the Dancing Goats blend but I mix it up every once in a while with some of the many other blends. During the holiday season I snap up as much Holiday Blend as I possibly can. It is superb! I usually make a cappuccino with a little sugar but once in a while I throw in a bit of DaVinci hazelnut flavoring. Yum!

I rarely buy coffee at Starbucks unless I'm with my daughter and then we both get one of the frozen jobbies.

We have one of those big Carpresso machines so we make our own every morning. this is my favorite place to get coffee. We've gotten fatastic beans from them.

They have great service and I feel good about recommending them to just about anyone to give them a try.

I heard on Discovery, or something like that, temperature control is really important with making coffee. Too hot makes it have the burnt taste gas station coffee always has and such.... and that temperature control is one of the reasons to buy a nice machine.

I like those Miele units that you put in your kitchen like an appliance and even run a water line too for self cleaning. Those are pretty trick. Expensive though!

Happy brithday man!

I'm turning 23 in less than a month. I swear my joints are already making funny noises. Like when I lay on the floor my back cracks and stuff.

Also I'm starting to wear earplugs under my headphones when I dj. It doesn't really make a difference (if anything it helps because my ears don't make that distortion noise from all the bass), it even helps me hear people when they talk to me (I have no idea why, I think the attentuation is more with the ambience then what is directly by me... I also notice if I hold my finger to block my ear I can hear people in a loud club easier strangely). I don't walk around with them in, but, in the booth for sure.

I have never looked into it if it is actually fact and proven in blind tasting, but I always use cold water to start when making coffee. I have tried starting with cold, warm, room temperature and hot water to pour into the machine and to me there is a big difference in the coffee when it is brewed. To me starting with cold water always makes a better coffee....not sure if this is a coffee myth or not, but I do it anyways:D

One of these every morning at work. Nothing on the weekends.

Not much of a coffee drinker. If I do it's usually French Vanilla, heavy cream, heavy sugar.

Been ordering cases of these for the past year to use at work along with my usual morning cup of coffee. I've become a serious caffeine junky. These things have 200mg of caffeine in just two onces without all the sugar.

I'll drink a Monster some mornings as well. The regular ones are way too sweet for me though. The Lo-Carb one with 6g of sugar per can is perfect.

I roast my own beans in small (8-12oz) batches. My coffee is always less than a week old and at the peak of freshness. I just finished some Sumatra Mandheling Grade One. Tomorrow I'll be drinking some Kenya from a small auction lot.

I'm mostly a Tim Horton's drinker. Not like I used to be, but still daily. My wife is the real coffee lover here, two or three XL Tim's a day. A significant portion of our small kitchen is dedicated to coffee. I don't even know what beans she uses, but her lattes turn out as good as any commercial latte I've had. If we're out for a drive, we might stop for a latte at Starbucks. I'm going to show her this thread because she might like to try some of the brands that you guys have pointed out here.

Here in FL our water is awful. When I was in Cleveland with my wife I couldn't get enough water. It was better than any water I'd ever had right out of the tap. Nancy always told me how good it was, but I didn't believe her until then.

Water makes a huge difference and so does the quality of grind. I"m not an afficianado by any means, but I do believe it makes a difference. Our Capresso has a really good built in burr grinder and can just see the difference between that grind and a cheaper conical grinder.

One of our favorite things though is make good old fashioned French Press coffee. There's something about it that just makes it taste better. That's my favorite.

A good espresso is always nice too. Our big machine makes good espresso, but we also have one of those Nespresso cartridge jobbies in the living room in our sitting area and it's nice to just pop in any particular flavor you're thinking about.

At work I make Ethiopian Harrar, at home I use a french press, and right now I have Panama La Torcaza Estate which is pretty good. I get all of my beans from a local roaster, Alterra Coffee, and try to avoid starbucks at all cost. Stone creek coffee is pretty good too!

if I am at a coffee shop, my drink of choice is a nonfat latte, with an extra shot of espresso........

wow! it's amazing how complex such a simple thing has become!

Having been in the Navy I have seen and tasted coffee at its absolute worst, so my standards my be a little off these days. :D I do enjoy a good Starbuck's latte once in a while, but I'm mostly a traditional cup of black from good ol' Mr. Coffee in the morning to start the day. Here at work, we brew it strong enough to make your trachea fall through your torso and out your rear end - just the way I like it. :D

I have never made much coffee at home due to the fact that I am the only one that drinks it here. I have always kept a machine though for my friends when they visit. Wifey bought me a Keurig for Father's Day last year and I now use it everyday. It is not the end all of coffee maker's but I don't throw out a half a pot every time I want a cup.

I like the Newman's best extra bold for the Keurig. It cost's me about .50 a cup. Very mellow without a hint of oil. I do like Cafe DuMonde coffee or the Columbia Restaurant's coffee in a can. I think the best coffee experience though was at Victoria & Alberts at Disney. It was great but it also could have been the wine.;)

For health reasons, I have given up caffiene. On the other hand, I still love the taste of good coffee. I get the best whole-bean decaf I can find and grind it fresh. Some of it is very good, but I miss the larger selection that "real" coffee offered.

I just get bulk bags of whole beans at sams club, just generic donut shop coffee, grind it at home and brew it in one of my Gevalia coffee makers. But sometimes at work later on in the day if I need a pick me up, I used to go to starbucks, but have recently started getting coffee from the Java City since it's less money, and I don't have to walk clear across the building to get it... it's nice having a cafeteria, and a food court where I work. I guess you need a lot of stuff when your workplace is the 2nd largest bldg. in the US.

I really like caramel machhiatos (sp?) but they are too expensive to drink often. My favorite coffee was the Hazlenut coffee in the cafeteria at my college, too bad I can't get that anymore.
