Hi,

I know nothing about audio/video instillation or terminology etc, so please forgive me.

I bought a condo that was half-wired for mounting a TV above the fireplace. Above the fireplace there is one CAT5 and 8 coaxial cables that run to the wall at the base of the fireplace. None of these cables are terminated.

I want to mount my TV above the fireplace and have all my audio/video equipment at the base of the fireplace.

My TV has the following inputs:

PC RGB analog
TV TV/cable, composite (RCA), component YPbPr/YCbCr, S-video
Audio 3.5mm mini stereo audio in/out and RCA (left/right) audio in
Digital HDMI (with HDCP and audio support)
Tuner ATSC/NTSC

I have no idea how to do this. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Never mind. Figured it out.

You can get an adapter to run RCA or Component through coaxial. I even have audio running through it now. Works great.

I went to a half-dozen places asking about this and no one had a clue why coaxial was strung through my wall.

Thanks anyways.
