Classe Sigma 2200i and REL subwoofer - potential connection issue

Hi guys-I am new to setting up stereo equipment, so I am hoping for some advice. I just purchased a pair of Focal 1028be, a Classe Sigma 2200i integrated amp, and a REL T7i subwoofer. The gentleman who sold me the Classe and the REL told me not to hook the REL subwoofer to the sub out, but instead, use one of the speaker outputs. I watched REL's video regarding this. I have attached a schematic of the back of my Classe. Sorry to be dense, but if I attach the REL to one of the speaker outlets, how the heck am I supposed to connect the pair of Focals I have?
Congrats - that sounds like an awesome system. I've had my eye on that Classe and $1500 is an excellent price. I've heard it with the B&W 805 D3 and it was outstanding - I am sure it is a fantastic partner for your Focals (which are awesome in their own right). The Sigma has just about as many features as a top-of-the-line AV receiver (I am sure won't use but 30% of its capabilities) including bass management.

I have also heard many REL subs and they are very well designed for what they do - for music only systems the T series is outstanding. Your salesperson is probably used to using the REL in a certain way (high level) and that's fine. I would experiment to see what sounds best to you (and it is cheap to do). First, hook up the REL to your Classe using speaker wire (@ski2xblack was correct - running speaker wire to speakers and sub from the amps binding post won't hurt anything) and adjust the sub to your liking via its volume and crossover controls. Then run it from the sub out on your Classe with an interconnect and let the Sigma do the processing and control. See (hear) which one sounds better to you and run with it.

Good luck and report back promptly!

But he didn't mention it was used at first either keep in mind. I have no idea what you mean by "same as running 1 vs 2 vs 4 subs if you can tune them". If you're using bass management, perhaps, using the Rel method, no.
Near me, new or open box pricing https://www.listenup.com/shop/catalogsearch/result/?q=Classe

Same goes with the Focal 1028be’s, almost 1/2 price.

And again I’ve heard Focal Kanta’s with a single REL T7i (and $30k + in Simaudio gear) setup this way and it was pretty amazing although I’m sure there was $50k in acoustic treatment to the room as well. I’m not saying REL is the solution for everyone but in the setup I heard doing it the way REL recommends had fantastic results. That is all.

FYI, Simaudio is a huge waste of $.

They got busted trying to pass off a Denon as their own with a huge markup!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. TankTop5, that's exactly where I bought my new Classe and REL. Quite the great price for the Classe (and the Focal 1028Be's for that matter). I bought the REL just for listening to music-no home theater use. It was definitely impressive at the store, so I am hoping that it will be impressive at home. The store has a 30 day return policy so I'm covered if for whatever reason, I don't like it. I am still waiting on the speakers to arrive then I will let you know how it goes!

That’s awesome, the guys at ListenUp are pretty solid. You may want to go back and pick there brain for set up questions, I’m sure after the coin you dropped they’d be more than happy to help you. Did you buy up in Denver or Colorado Springs? At the Colorado Springs store is where they always try to push the Classe amp on me and where they demo’d the Kanta’s with the T7i. The Classe 200wpc with your 1028be’s can easily piss off the neighbors, when the police show up just remember to smile!
