Clash of the Titans Remake - Warner Bros

I saw it Friday and, with the right expectations, it's at least entertaining. I can't say that I'm a fan of the original or its Harryhaussen FX, so the cheezy digital FX in this version didn't bother me. I mainly went to see Liam Neeson proclaim "Release the Kraken" in his glowing armor and to see what looked like a giant turtle with mile long tentacles. The guys who used giant scorpions for transportation were an added bonus. I did appreciate the cameo by the mechanical owl, which was my favorite part of the old movie. I guess it was a slow week for movies.

I went and saw it with a group of friends and I felt like the story was very rushed. I was hoping for a little more time and detail with everything. Effects were cool, but I left a little dissapointed. I guess I was expecting too much.

I bet there will be an Extended Director's Cut when it comes out on blu-ray.
