My current favorite is Kinder, but I don't think it counts. It's very good stuff.

Bring me some Big Turks !!! You can't get them here.

Go ahead, rub it in.

It's probably been ~20 years for me. The few times I have been back to Canada it's not like Turkish Delights
were on my mind so I failed to get some. I also regret not smoking more Cuban cigars while I was up there
and still smoked. See? ... it's not all bad up there.

Sure, you could get all that in the Bahamas but ... :p

Andes mints. Frozen. 'nough said.
Never frozen one, but yep Ande's rock! It's like Christmas when you eat at a restaurant and you open the check wallet and get that little green foil surprise.

So those are tasty? Never had one but I'm up in Toronto this week so I think I'll have to try one. You know, as an educational and foreign relations sort of thing.

Chocolate in the candy bar form is a really subjective taste. I don't like the texture of coconut so I avoid those. Plus I'm not a huge fan of nuts in my food (yeah, joke opportunity). So I have always preferred Milky Way over Snickers.

My favorites:
1. Belgian chocolate from the little hand-craft shops that are all over the cities and towns. Oh yeah! Brought back kilo's of the stuff when I was there. I'll take a kilo of it over the kilo of other "stuff."

2. Seas Candy out in California. That free sample gets me every time! But the stores are dangerous. I dropped over $50 the last time I went a couple of weeks ago.

3. Lindt - yeah some may not like it, but I really like their truffles. I entered one of their stores at a mall south of Rome, Italy a couple of years ago and they had these meter x meter display tables just piled with chocolate and truffles. They had some the size of softballs and volleyballs. For the sake of my blood sugar, I immediately turned around and walked out. There was no way I would behave if I remained to "just look."

4. Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory - around in various locations including Minneapolis airport

5. Mass produced stuff like M&Ms, Nestle Crunch (oh yeah), Hershey's bars, Cadbury, Cadbury eggs, etc. Kudos to the person that mention Kinder Eggs.

But really, it's all good. Just some is a bit better than others. Not really pure chocolate, but the chocolate thin mint girl scout cookies frozen are that perfect mix of chocolate and crunch.

Ok, now you got me going and I'll have no choice but to stop for chocolate tonight when I get out of the facility.

Dang you!!!!:D

There is a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory back home in San Diego that makes a caramel apple covered in peanut butter chips and drizzled with chocolate. It's frickin' awesome. I have gone to numerous other locations and they NEVER have the exact same apple!!!

What is there some special dude that works in San Diego and he's the only one that has the recipe???

Ok, I went out and tried a Big Turk as stated on this board.

I have no idea how to describe it, but it wasn't bad at all. I liked it. Still can't describe it, but liked it.:)

Not being able to describe it isn't a problem. Not being able to forget them is brutal. :D

Hey, don't knock it until you try it.;)

"Jelly" doesn't accurately indicate the consistency. It's kinda like the ballistic gelatin they use on CSI.
