Cerwin Vega D2 woofer upgrade?

I have an old pair of cerwin vega D2's that are almost 20 years old. I've had them in a closet most of the time, I'm not sure how speakers age, but I assume they probably don't sound like they use too. If I re-use the case, can anyone recommend a replacement 8" woofer and 3" tweeter?

Cerwin Vega will rebuild one of their speakers if you are interested. Look on their site for information.

Check the surrounds the foam or rubber around the outside edge of the drivers.

if they are not cracked or missing. leave em alone. If they sound bad raspy or loose then chances are something else is wrong.

www.partsexpress.com has a nice 8" reference woofer that is magnetically shielded that i have used in the past to replace dead 8" drivers they work fairly decent for the cost.
