It doesn't sound like a remote issue. Never had anything like the switching delays you're talking about either. Have you done any of the resets?

No because then - with my luck - nothing will work. It's just another thing in america that doesn't work and the only remedy is spend, so I intend to spend and acquire a new Yamaha, if they're ever released and in the meantime suffer. I don't use the NVidia forums because they're not secure

When I possess a new Yamaha and the NVidia box and control don't work with it I'll spend more and buy some different streaming device

NVidia has weird poop too, I had a tablet with the battery pack that ballooned and they sent me a new one. I had a keyboard attached with a hub. When the original NVidia remote died I used a small RII to control it and then that died - NVidia has this usb charging plug issue and makes it nearly impossible to change one, and this happened on both the original remote and the tablet but never happened to any other device I ever had with the same standard plugs

So intuitively this tells me it's some planned obsolescence quirk(s) with NVidia and I'll probably end up getting some different streaming box

So I'm sick of discussing the whole thing - but thanks for your suggestions

Well, it’s hardly a discussion when one doesn’t listen to what anybody else is saying to them and just throws in the towel. Try out some of the suggestions or go spend some money. Good luck with the new Yamahas. They are off to a great start.
