CD Players: Rotel vs. Music Hall

I'm looking into a new CD player for a midrange personal listening system. I'll most likely be using Grado RS1, RS2, or SR325i headphones along with their headphone amp.
So, the only item I will need will be the CD player. I'm narrowing my choices to things I can find locally, which include Rotel, Music Hall, Marantz, Denon.
I'm leaning towards the Rotel 1072 and Music Hall CD25.2 because of the favorable reviews I've found.

I'm curious if anyone has any experience with either of these units, or possibly any other recommendations that would be in the same price range ($700 max).

No, but a question. Your budget seems on the high side. Any reason you want to spend so much?

If you have a digital input, most any CD player will do you well.

This may not be what you want to hear but my opinion is that CD players and the DACs they use are more like commodities these days and the point of diminishing returns kicks in with a big thud probably around $150. Any Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer etc in that price range will be about as good as it going to get. I am sure others will disagree, but that's my take on it. Interestingly enough just this evening I dug out my old Corda headphone amp and my Senns HD580s and was thinking about getting CD or DVD player to hook it up to.

and I thought $700 seemed sort of cheap compared to so many highend CD players out there.
The headphone amp does not have a digital input, therefore I am looking for a nice, well built CD player with a high quality DAC.

Nick250-
I am one that will disagree with you on that. Having used different CD players in the $150 range, I can say they simply don't compare to the higher end (higher priced, if you like) players. Sure, they both do the same thing, but there is a difference in sound quality. Not to mention build quality.
