Car Audio Speaker Sugestions

The JL Audio equipment sounds very similar to the MB Quart.
Not even close.

Indeed I believe the drivers for each are supplied by Bravox and are of the same line.
Your belief is incorrect. MB Quart builds and designs their own drivers. Some of the low-end drivers are not made in Germany, but are designed there. MB Quart is a German company, and has nothing to do with JL Audio.

Some of JL drivers are made in Germany, but not by Quart.

Bravox uses aluminum in their tweeters. Quart uses titanium.

Bravox uses any number of materials in their cones for midrange drivers. This includes carbon fiber, Kevlar, and composite injected cones. Quart uses polypropylene cones.

Thanks for all of the recomendations.

It looks like the TMA amp will work well for my application and the price is very reasonable at $140 with plenty of power and features. I saw some Phoenix Gold amps on parts express for similar prices but the build quality of the TMA looks better.

Thanks for the additional JL Audio, Infinity, and MB Quart speaker leads, but I am not interested in any aditional options costing over $100/pair.

The 65 mustang is a classic car and I intend for it to still look that way when I am done with the restoration so the stereo deck will be mounted in the glove box. Some of the Sony decks like the CDXGT520 offer a wired remote that can be mounted on the steering column. It should also have reasonable performance and is not too expensive. Uless other decks have similar options for a wired remote or an RF remote I will stick with the Sony.
