I hope one of the builders can give you (and me to) some information on how long the channel to the port opening has to be. I have an HTD woofer from a few years ago (with TL channel/port) and the channel is the width of the box and run the two times the length of the box (one over the other) with an opening between the channels. The channel finally opens in the front, but the whole design seems very complicated. The upside is the output of the subwoofer, rated at only 22 Hz, but my test CD show very high output (not less than 3 db) down to 19 Hz, and there is also very audible output below 19 Hz as well.
