My source is an Apple TV with a Cambridge Audio DAC Magic. My speakers are Phase Technology PC 9.1's. Also, The remote does not have a power on/off button. Is there a code available to program a universal remote control?

Take all the sale hype and mystical psudo science out of the equation, the power cord does not need to be one bit "better" than the Romex running in your walls. The rest of the audio input cables can be standard audio cables with male RCA connectors on each end.....the typical "red/white" audio cables. All you need as far as cables go.No need to waste your money on "hi-end" cables as they all sound the same.The 2 companies reccomended here are all you need to know for all your cable needs.........

I have never had it explained to my satisfaction how power can travel from the generating station at 14,000 volts get stepped down to 110-120 volts, travel through a 30-60 foot length of splice to your house then through a service panel, through a breaker, through another 30 foot of cheap romex in the wall through another outlet to be magically transformed all by a $200 power cable. I am self-admittedly new around here and to the audio realm, but I am stunned by this thought process Maybe I am too trusting or naive (or maybe I just haven't been screwed by defective products/companies), but it would never even occur to me that the power cord that came in the box with my random product would be inferior. Not to mention the belief that I would also then need to buy a separate specialty power cord from an altogether different company and spend more on it (or even half the price) than that of the product itself. Wrap it with Tech Flex (this is basically required, link: http://www.techflex.com/ ) 3. Terminate it with something flashy. 4. Wrap the ends with heat shrink. If you skipped step 3, then just buy some 4:1 heat shrink and cover the regular looking power cord end to make it look jazzy. 5. Screen print name. Examples: Notice the regular end they just covered with heat shrink... Here is one where they bought THREE cables, then had their 8 year old braid it!
