Hi, I'm new here but I've been occasionally dropping by and reading reviews etc. Anyways to my point.
I'm trying to figure out what is causing the satalights on my bluesky 2.1's to hum at me. I just replaced the wires, but if I gently jiggle, or rather touch the rca cord that plugs into back of my media set they start humming at me, a quick push on the cable always seems to fix it, sometimes a little twist is necessary
So anyways I bought some new cables, adioquest diamondbacks, thinking those would fix the issue, no go. I also updated the bare wire spindel plugs from my subwoofer to my satalights with new cables that had banana plugs, seemed to be a good grade cable, they were a brand called dayton... anyways.
So my buzzing still occurs. By the way I am using these for a computer audio solution, my current audio card is an ASUS essence stx. it works really well for 2 channel and I do not get any background electronic noise, not even on my hd595 sennheiser headphones.
I hear it could be a grounding issue, but I dunno. is it time for me to justify an upgrade over something better for my computer than the media desk 2.1's?
My primary use for my speakers is the playback of Japanese animation dvd's and gaming. I will be honest that I do not listen to much music. But I do appreciate good hardware.
Thinking about it, I think most anime has an emphasis on either rock, tecno, or classical music themes if that helps any. I know I am asking too much in one post. Let's just focus on the buzz for now.
